Marc Cohen Named 2015 College Democrats of America Rising Star
Marc Cohen, University at Albany ‘16, receives award at 2015 College Democrats of America Convention.
Albany, N.Y.—The College Democrats of New York are proud to announce that Marc Cohen, a Williamsville, NY native and University at Albany College Democrat was named the 2015 Rising Star at the CDA convention in Washington, D.C on July 22-25, 2015.
A dedicated public servant active in various aspects of Democratic politics, Marc joined the University at Albany College Democrats as a freshman, and served as the Deputy Development Director and Development Director of CDNY. Marc currently serves as the Finance Director of the College Democrats America (CDA) Alumni Association. He is also the Chief of Staff to the Student Assembly of the State University of New York and interns in the office of Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul in Albany.
Throughout his tenure at UAlbany Marc has demonstrated exemplary leadership and service, and has earned the utmost respect of his colleagues and peers. The College Democrats of New York warmly congratulate Marc for this prestigious honor, and look forward to his continued service on behalf of students of New York state and the Democratic Party.
The College Democrats also congratulate the University at Albany College Democrats chapter for being named Chapter of the Year, and former CDNY Vice President, Kevin Gomez on being named College Democrat of the Year.
