Financial FAQs
”Where can I find CDNY’s financial records?”
As a political organization we are legally obligated to file with the Federal Election Committee (FEC).
To check up to date filing records, follow this link: https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00452490/?tab=filings
“Where does CDNY receive money from?”
CDNY receives funding from a variety of sources. Our primary source is from the generous contributions of individual donors, but we also occasionally apply for grants to support our larger events. You can check out our FEC filings for a more detailed breakdown.
“What does CDNY spend money on?”
All spending is catalogued in our FEC filings. The “fun” things we spend money on are events that all members of CDNY are invited to attend (such as our Fall Summits, Spring Conventions, and Summer Socials). Other spending includes Squarespace, Mailchimp, and Zoom.
We are highly cognizant that when people give to CDNY, they do so with the expectation that we support college-aged democrats. We take that very seriously and do our best to only spend on things that directly benefit that demographic.
